Edit Base Domain

Edit Base Domain

Your base domain is the default URL for your storefront. You can change it to something that better reflects your brand at anytime.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Only Owners can edit the base domain. Understand more about your storefront domain here.
  • The old domain stops working immediately. Visitors will not be redirected from your previous domain to the new one. Any plan links you previously shared will need to be updated.
  • Once changed, your old domain is no longer reserved and can be claimed by anyone.
  • Base domain rules:
    • Make sure your domain is no longer than 35 characters.
    • Allowed: Lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens.
    • Not allowed: Uppercase letters, special characters, emojis, leading, trailing, or consecutive hyphens.

How to Edit Base Domain

  1. Go to Settings > Workspace settings > Domains.
  2. In the Base domain section, click Edit domain.
  3. Enter your new subdomain. Subdomains must follow the rules mentioned above.
  4. Click Save.
