Shared with Me

Shared with Me

Shared with Me shows all files and folders that workspace members have directly shared with you.

What appears here

A file or folder appears in Shared with Me only when someone shares it with you directly — not when you have access through a parent folder. If a folder is shared with you and it contains files, only the folder itself appears here, not the individual files inside it.

What you can do

The role assigned to you at the time of sharing determines what you can do. Learn more about Roles and Permissions in Drive.

Removing a file from your view

You can remove a shared file or folder from your Shared with Me. This only affects your view — it does not delete the file or change access for anyone else.
