Public vs Private Events

Public vs Private Events

When creating an event, you can control who sees the details. Visibility determines what your team sees when they view your schedule.

Things to Keep in Mind

  1. Who is affected: Visibility only affects how events appear to others, your own view is unchanged.
  2. Private events: These still appear on your calendar but show as "Busy" to others.
  3. Out of Office: OOO events are always visible to your team regardless of visibility settings.

Visibility Options

  1. Public: Others can see the full event title, description, guests, and location.
  2. Private: Others only see that you are "Busy" during that time. No details are visible.
